Uninstalling Simdify

You need the following Simdify® modules to complete this exercise: Simdify® Free Edition

In this exercise you'll learn how to uninstall Simdify. Note that this might uninstall everything, including paid modules. You can return to your Scenomics account to download Simdify Free Edition and any paid modules at any time. Depending on your version of Windows®, and on the details of your user account, this also might delete any files you have created.

Start The Module Application

  1. Start the Module app. (Start > Programs > Scenomics > Module) or (Windows® key and then type 'Module' to find the app icon.)

    The application displays a splash screen and then the application desktop appears.

Access Application Binaries Directory

  1. Examine the main menu and select Help > Version.

    The software presents a dialog presents version information.

  2. Select the file path shown in the App Binaries field and hit CTRL + C.
  3. Hit Windows Key + R.

  4. Left click the text box named Open and hit CTRL + V to paste the path. This is a picture of the Windows run dialog.
  5. Click OK or hit ENTER when you are finished. This displays the application binaries directory. Your folder won't look exactly like the folder below, but you will see most of the same content (depending on which modules you have installed).

  6. Return to the running Module application and click OK or Cancel to dismiss the version information dialog.
  7. select File > Exit from the main menu.
  8. Return to the Windows® folder that contains the application binaries.

    Note that you may have uninstallers for up to five products.

  9. Double click the most recent uninstaller For example: unins000.exe.
  10. The installer presents a dialog that walks you through the uninstall process.

    Note that this might also remove the application documents directory, which may contain documents you created with Simdify. This depends on your version of Windows®, and the details of your user profile.

  11. Repeat this process until uninstallation is complete.
